The K-Vape is sold by a few different brand names, but they are all essentially the same give or take a few changes the companies may has introduced into the design and capacity to give it a more personalized touch. The most popular models are released by KandyPens and G Pro. This K-Vape review is all about its features and what you can get out of it. There are many vape reviews about this model but we have ensured to cover aspects which have not been discussed by others.

Introduction to K-Vape

Coming back to the KandyPens K-Vape, it is simple in functionality and easy to use. KandyPens has gained enough of a reputation to be the go-to brand for every beginner vaper as well as the more experienced vapers who look for good quality and strong hits.

The K-Vape is the latest dry herb device released by KandyPens. It comes with a large stainless steel chamber instead of the standard ceramic chamber, a convection style heating element, and like other KandyPens products; it is elegant and slim in design. The KandyPens K-Vape is light in weight because it is constructed out of plastic and rubber, easy to conceal, and is the perfect vaporizer for you to carry around. It is sturdy and portable with a slim and elegant design.

The KandyPens K-Vape has a chamber that can hold a little more than half a gram of vaping material. This feature raises the question whether the KandyPens K-Vape is incapable of handling more of the vaping material or is efficient enough to make do with what little it’s holding capacity allows it to hold. That being said, KandyPens K-Vape still offers more of a capacity than a lot, and by a lot, I mean most of the dry herb vaporizers in the vaping market. All in all, it holds about 0.6 grams of vaping material.

Unboxing the KandyPens K-Vape

Let’s first find out what should you be expecting when you unbox the KandyPens K-Vape packaging.

1) K-Vape

The K-Vape has a soft rubbery finish at the back and the sides with glossy plastic at the front. The pen is 5.5 inches in length and 1 inch in thickness. Despite being one of KandyPens more inexpensive products, the K-Vape features all of the elegance and sophistication the brand is reputable for.

2) Accessory Pack

The accessory pack contains long and short mouthpiece covers and replacement screens for the KandyPens K-Vape. When I purchased my KandyPens K-Vape, I had received too long mouthpiece covers, three short covers, and five replacement screens.

3) Micro USB Charging Cable

You can use your USB charging cable with the smartphone wall charger, it works just fine. Personally, I use the USB charging port on my iPhone charger to charge the KandyPens K-Vape.  Even if it so happens that you do not have your KandyPens USB charging cable with you, a micro USB cable is standard enough.

4) Cleaning Brush

The cleaning brush comes in handy when you want to keep your device in shape and working efficiently. Be careful to not stick the cleaning brush into your vape pen while it’s still hot. The brush is made from plastic; it will melt and stick to the walls of your vaporizer.

5) Instruction Manual

The instruction manual is short and contains some pictures to guide you properly. In this K-Vape review, I’ll cover everything stated in the instruction manual and more.

6) Build and Design

The KandyPens K-Vape has a strong build and a great feel to it. There are no extra attachments that could be easily breakable which is what makes it such a perfect choice for vapers on the go. Do not deliberately test it for resilience, but if you accidentally drop it, KandyPens K-Vape will still perform well.

KandyPens K-Vape is not entirely made from plastic; more than half of this device is rubber coated and does not only ensure a strong and sturdy grip but also guarantees the longevity of the device. The rubber coating makes it less prone to damage and also being an insulator, acts as a heat shield for the device. The center panel of the device is made from plastic.

On the plastic body, the firing button and LED are located. The mouthpiece of the device is also made from plastic. Aesthetically, the KandyPens K-Vape was a bit of a letdown. You ask why? It is because KandyPens products are known for their aesthetic value and this product albeit still more beautiful than a lot of dry herb vaporizers does not exactly fit the KandyPens standard.

This device is not at par with KandyPens other high-end products and more stylish devices that have made fans out of vapers, but from the inside, the quality is maintained. And perhaps, eventually, it all comes down to the pricing. You get what you pay for.

The power button feels sturdy and does not feel loose when using. There are a few air holes located near the outside of the chamber to provide you protection from overheating. The mouthpiece is in good shape, too although a few K-Vape reviews stated that they found it too thin to be exactly comfortable.

Personal Experience

Once I took off the mouthpiece, two things came into view.

  1. The walls of the chamber are made from stainless steel to protect from corrosion.
  2. The screen just beneath the mouthpiece is made from stainless steel mesh and can be cleaned or even replaced since the KandyPens K-Vape kit provides you with a spare filter.

Most of the dry herb vaporizers usually come with chambers made from ceramic or quartz and have worked quite well with dry herb concentrates. KandyPens has once again pulled one on their competitors by upping their game and trying out new technology.

K-Vape Review: Parameters Checked

1. Pricing

The KandyPens K-Vape is sold at about $120 and makes it an affordable purchase than a lot of other models currently available in the market by KandyPens or any other vaporizer brand. KandyPens K-Vape is the perfect choice of a dry herb vaporizer for a vaper who does not have a huge spending budget and seeks good quality and a wholesome vaping experience from their product of choice which is sadly not offered by a lot of dry herb vaporizers out there.

2. Vapor Quality

With KandyPens reputation and history, it is very unlikely that you will combust your herbs, which happens with a lot of the other herbal vaporizers out there. It is capable of good vapor quality and excellent cloud production. The flavor is smooth, rich, and robust when you start out but begins to decline once the session continues for a bit longer. This happens with almost every portable vaporizer available in this pricing range.

3. Preparation Time

To get the most out of your K-Vape vaporizer, you need to first grind your material into fine particles. This may take you some time, but I guarantee that when you eventually vape, you will be glad that you went the extra mile for it. The K-Vape takes about 30 seconds to heat up and reach the correct vaping temperature. This prep time is ideal for a vaporizer of this size. Last, of all, the heating chamber of the K-Vape is easy to load and you don’t have to go through much trouble.

4. Portability

The KandyPens K-Vape is bigger in size than a lot of vape pens but is also relatively compact. The device is portable and you can take it with you and vape on the go. But in this K-Vape review, I’ll warn you to be careful when drawing the KandyPens K-Vape out of your pocket. The size is a little less convenient and when you draw from this vaporizer, it will not look like you are using an electronic cigarette.

5. Ease of Use and Efficiency

KandyPens K-Vape comes with a single button located on the front panel of the vaporizer. The device itself is very easy to use. Since this vaporizer does not offer much resistance, people who have trouble putting strength into their draws can conveniently use it without trouble.

The KandyPens K-Vape is an easy to use dry herb vaporizer. The tank has the holding capacity of 0.6 and as per a lot of K-Vape reviews, people are not exactly happy with its tiny chamber. Lucky for you, the KandyPens K-Vape has the strength to offer a lot from a small number of dry herbs, and your hits will be just as rich and potent.

6. Temperature Settings

The KandyPens K-Vape operates on three different temperature settings, so you can customize its performance as per your liking. These temperature settings give you a modicum of customizability with the KandyPens K-Vape. The vaporizer maintains a steady temperature throughout the entire vaping session.

There may be only three settings at which the temperature of the device varies, but you can go for the higher temperature setting to get a greater cloud production and have an intense vaping session. But according to a lot of K-Vape reviews, a lot of vapers who like vaping at higher temperature settings cannot get their material to last long enough.

If you vape at 420 degrees Fahrenheit, then KandyPens slightly larger chamber will be able to provide excellent flavor and a long lasting vaping session at this high-temperature setting. You can also try the lowest temperature setting if you are not looking for a fast and heated vaping session, but are looking for relaxed draws and a longer session. Even at the lowest temperature, KandyPens technology gives you good cloud production, easy draws, and the material lasts for a lot longer than it would at a high-temperature setting.

7. Power Supply

The charging time, as well as the battery life for the KandyPens K-Vape, is about average and quite similar to a lot of the other vapes who are the same type and size as the K-Vape. The device comes with a micro USB charging cable but not a micro USB charger. This means that you have the freedom to use a standard micro USB plug adapter for your KandyPens K-Vape. You can just plug in its cable into the adapter and recharge your device through the AC power wall socket.

How to Load the K-Vape?

In this K-Vape review, we will discuss how to load the K-Vape vaporizer. Loading a K-Vape is very easy. The kit contains no packing tool, which is something I think should have been present in the kit and is lacking. The opening of the K-Vape chamber has a rubber O-Ring around it.

The O-Ring has a small indentation which is smart designing because it makes sure that none of the vaping material gets trapped between the O-ring and the chamber opening. Without the indentation, there would be thin slit which is present in other devices and usually very annoying for vapers to clean their vaporizers again and again especially when getting the material out from the slit can be tricky.

Firstly, you should grind the material and pack the chamber. You can go for full capacity right up to the O-Ring, but if you want to avoid getting the screen dirty and risk hampering the airflow, I suggest you do not fill up the chamber to its full capacity.

How to Use the K-Vape?

The next step in this KandyPens K-Vape review is to guide you how to go about using your KandyPens K-Vape. Once you have loaded the chamber, you have to click the power button five times to switch on the device. The LED indicator light on the front panel of the KandyPens K-Vape will turn into a bold red color to indicate that the device is currently heating up.

It will stay that way for about 30 to 45 seconds before the device is fully heated. Most of the KandyPens K-Vaper reviews have classed this feature as a con, but we think that the K-Vape’s heating time of more than 10 seconds can be classed as a plus point.

If you want your herb to be completely heated, then you must wait for about 45 seconds which may not seem all that long, but if you want an express vape, then the K-Vape will definitely annoy you.

Either way, the heat up time is longer than usual and that has been one of the cons of the KandyPens K-Vape. If you want to switch between different temperature settings on the KandyPens K-Vape, you will have to press and hold the power button for up to a minimum of five seconds.

Different temperature signs are indicated by different colored LED lights. The 360 degrees Fahrenheit temperature is indicated by a red light, 380 degrees Fahrenheit is indicated by a green light, and the highest temperature setting at 420 degrees Fahrenheit is indicated by a blue LED light.

The Pros and Cons of the K-Vape

Pros

  • The device offers an above average vapor quality
  • It is available at an affordable price
  • The device offers a lifetime warranty so you do not have to worry about making a purchase again and again.
  • The KandyPens K-Vape is easy to load and use.
  • It comes with three different temperature settings
  • There is little to no risk of combustion with the KandyPens K-Vape

Cons

  • Towards the end of the session the vapor begins to get hot and a little harsh for the vaper.
  • The material must be finely ground to get the best of this vaporizer. This is an extra effort on the vaper’s part and a lot of people do not have the time to put in such effort every time they vape.

K-Vape 2.0 Overall Performance

KandyPens K-Vape 2.0 is the perfect vaporizer for ground herbs. The kit includes a dry herb vaporizer, True Convection Technology™, three temperature settings at 360 degrees Fahrenheit, 380 degrees Fahrenheit, and 420 degrees Fahrenheit, respectively, and a large stainless steel chamber introduced first in the first KandyPens K-Vape.

The tank has a holding capacity of about 0.6 grams. Aluminum Bi-Level Grinder & Tray, extra mouthpieces, replacement screens, and a cleaning brush are also part of the kit. The device automatically shuts off after three minutes, features a universal micro USB connection, and is BPA free. The KandyPens K-Vape like its predecessor comes with a lifetime warranty.

K-Vape Micro DX Review

In this KandyPens K-Vape Micro DX review, you will learn that KandyPens really did work hard to improve the overall design and build of their vaporizers with the K-Vape Micro DX. It is a compact and portable vaporizer that is easy to transport and an excellent vape with its adjustable settings. The device heats up fast and is capable of giving you hours of quality vaping sessions.

Should You Buy the KandyPens K-Vape?

As per the K-Vape reviews, this is one of the best dry herb vaporizers available in the market and has impressed the critics with its versatility and vapor quality. The device is easy to load and use, the variations in temperature give it an edge over other dry herb vaporizers in the market.

The product is not very expensive for its size and performance, is light in weight and very easy to carry around. All in all, I think the KandyPens K-Vape is the perfect buy for all your dry herb vapers out there!
