The House Judiciary Committee would not provide the
pulic with an opportunity to actually see the language of
the amendments to the bill. One member got disgusted with
patient requests during a break and tore the amendments in
half in front of him and through them in the trash. This version
retrieved from the trash was the only copy of the amendments
that were available to patients that day.
